5 AI toolsof the week

Text, design, data / knowledge, research and agents: one tool each, checked for value, cost and data protection.

This week was all about agentic workflows and integrating AI into existing systems. Anthropic released Claude Opus 4.7, its strongest model for autonomous tasks, while Figma closes the gap between AI-generated code and design systems with its new MCP server. Perplexity extends its Computer agent into a "personal CFO", and Google brings a very capable local open-source model with Gemma 4. Fathom 3.0 shows how meeting AI can work without intrusive bots.

Trend: Agentic workflows become production-ready: AI agents access design systems, bank accounts and codebases and deliver deployable results
